Constance Hoffman

Coach and Group Instructor

After a class with Constance, parents should be prepared for an onslaught of compliments noting how well-behaved their child is. Constance teaches children to place their best foot forward as they learn proper manners in regards to dining etiquette, social skills and communication. Her aim is to put your child a cut above the rest as they build confidence and earn respect.

Blake Giesler

Instructor

Does your child want to learn to dribble, pass and shoot and have fun doing it? Take Blake! With more than 25 years of experience teaching and coaching young kids, Blake has gained a vast understanding of learning styles and learning abilities. His students are encouraged to always be their best and never be afraid to try what they are learning. After taking Blake’s class, your child will love basketball more than they ever did before!

Paul Belknap

Outdoor & Operations Supervisor

When it comes to leading outdoor adventures on our ropes course, Paul is the go-to guy. During his more than eight years of experience, he has led groups white water kayaking, rock climbing and igloo building as well as on wilderness survival trips. Paul enjoys leading programs that allow individuals from differing cultural backgrounds to develop compassion, respect and understanding for one another as they work together towards a common goal. He is a Red Cross-certified CPR, AED and First Aid Instructor. An adventure with Paul is one you won’t soon forget!

Ramon Ortiz

Café and Maintenance Supervisor

A 19-year veteran in the kitchen, Ramon has mastered the art of combining healthy food with superior taste. The quality of his salads, wraps, sandwiches and other menu items can be found in each bite because Ramon prepares all of his food fresh to order at the Courtside Café. Stop by and taste for yourself!

After leaving the Courtside Café kitchen, Ramon loves to spend time with his wife and their four wonderful children. He also enjoys watching baseball, wrestling and traveling.

Aja Sapien

Camp Supervisor

For eight years now, Aja has helped bring AdventureCamp to life. This is the camp all kids look forward to when school is out. AdventureCamp’s success shows Aja’s dedication to ensuring that campers have a fun and memorable experience all while staying active and fit!

When she’s not running around with happy campers at AdventurePlex, you’ll find Aja running a marathon!

Cindy Foster

General Manager

Cindy is truly dedicated to the health and education of our youth. She has been working with children for the past 25 years in some capacity or another whether as an elementary classroom teacher or helping to develop an elementary health education curriculum for the Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach school districts. Cindy also writes and coordinates state and federal grants for the Redondo Beach Unified School District aimed at promoting elementary school counseling and safe and drug-free schools.

In college, Cindy was, and still is, proud to call herself an NCAA champion in softball.  She also loves to play golf and enjoys gardening and cooking.

Lourdes Padgett

Instructor

Learning and fun become one and the same with a class from Lourdes. With 12 years of experience working with children and being a preschool teacher for the past eight years, teaching is her passion in life. Lourdes believes that children learn best through exploration and experience. In her classes she uses innovative, outside the box art activities that use recycled materials and allow for freedom of expression.

When Lourdes is not instilling a love of learning in children, she enjoys creating her own art through painting, crafts and mosaics. She can also be found at art museums, live theatre shows and in the gym working out.

T.J. Panzer

Yoga Instructor

T.J. is dedicated to ensuring students get a fun, stress-releasing workout, all while learning yoga's thousand-year-old principles for living and ways to apply them to daily life. T.J. has two years experience teaching yoga and more than six years experience with teaching children. She brings a unique energy and caring attitude to every class, whether adults or children. T.J. has completed a 200-Hour Cloud Nine Yoga Certification and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. When she’s not at AdventurePlex, you’ll find T.J. hiking with her Beagle.

Michelle Gierst

Group Exercise and Yoga Instructor

Michelle began her fitness path by volunteering and training with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Team in Training while planning to compete in her first marathon in Honolulu. After completing three full marathons and seven half marathons, Michelle felt she needed to find a new way to strengthen her legs and knees during her racing endeavors.  

Michelle discovered Pilates and yoga as a method of training and immediately fell in love with both. She has since received her 450-hour Pilates certification and a 200-hour Hatha Yoga Certification. With a love for dancing since age 5, she also got hooked on Zumba after her first class and is now a certified instructor.

When she’s not at CHF, Michelle stays active with surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, snowboarding, hiking, biking and weight training.

Zachary Gray

Instructor

Zach has had a passion for working with children for the last 15 years; from babysitting and being a camp counselor in high school, to teaching after school programs and dance in studios during college. He currently teaches Sportball, which teaches the fundamentals of eight popular ball sports in a non-competitive environment using creative techniques that engage children and focus their attention.

When he’s not developing the athlete in his students, Zach enjoys playing volleyball in his hometown of Manhattan Beach. He has also played on a national roller hockey team, as well as all levels of baseball and football.

B.A. in Dance Choreography, California State University, Long Beach
