Ropes Course and Experiential Education

The AdventurePlex Odyssey Ropes Course, designed and built by Alpine Towers, the leader in Ropes Course construction, offers a unique opportunity to enhance the learning experience. Groups, individuals, and partners are presented with a powerful experience by challenging each one to learn and grow. The Ropes Course experience provides several program opportunities. The process of climbing provides the framework for groups to focus on the following objectives:

- Teamwork
- Trust
- Fun
- Communication
- Cooperation
- Respect

Ropes Course Adventure

Experiential Education at AdventurePlex

AdventurePlex can craft a single day to multi-day event for larger youth or adult groups. Through the use of the high ropes course, rock climbing wall and low initiative games, groups are presented with a powerful experience by challenging one another to learn and grow. Through the perceived risk of a carefully supervised adventure, the participants are challenged to test self-reliance and redefine one’s limits. In sharing this risk with others, interdependence is realized with experiences that demand cooperation and trust to successfully meet the challenges. Through the activities and conversations facilitated by our team of instructors the participants will be helped to improve the way they accept and overcome challenges. By the end of the day they will accomplish things they previously thought were impossible. To learn is to risk and by learning to accept that risk through our curriculum participants may increase their willingness challenge themselves in school, at work, or in life.

Open Ropes Days

Open ropes will be available every Saturday from 11am to 4pm. No reservations, participants will be grouped by AdventurePlex staff and taken up on a first come, first serve basis. Last ropes course group will leave at 3pm. $20 includes use of the rock wall, or just $10 for the ropes course only. If you have paid the general admission price, upgrade to rock and ropes for only $15. Participants must be at least 8 years old. Adults welcome.

All outdoor and/or climbing participants must present a completed Outdoor Liability Waiver signed by a parent or guardian prior to participation in any AdventurePlex outdoor and/or climbing activity. The Liability Waiver is required for rock wall climbers only. The Liability Waiver and Medical Questionnaire are required for Ropes Course participants.
