Reopening Update FAQ

When will you be reopening?
We are open now!

What programs will you be offering?
Reservations required

Will people be required to wear a face mask when they are at AdventurePlex, even if they are fully vaccinated?
Yes. Any person at AdventurePlex (including those who are vaccinated against COVID-19) will be required to wear a face mask. The Health Officer Order states that face masks are required. The CDC recommends anyone who is age 2 or older wear a face mask. Face masks should not be placed on young children under age 2. Children ages 2-8 should wear a mask only with adult supervision.

What capacity will AdventurePlex be limited to?
AdventurePlex capacity will follow guidelines set by California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. Currently in the Red Tier, guidelines allow us to have up to 14 campers in one area at a time. It is expected that by the time camp begins, we may be in a different tier and following new guidelines.

Do you have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to participate in AdventurePlex programs?
No, we understand that COVID-19 vaccines are still not readily available to the general public and will not make this a requirement for visiting AdventurePlex.

Will membership auto billing be reinstated?
No, not at this time.

What safety measures is AdventurePlex taking?

  • Screening before participants go inside, including temperature checks and verbal screening. Face masks are required for all participants ages 2 and older and will be available if you need one.
  • Physical distancing stickers have been installed around the facility along with hand sanitizer stations.
  • Adventureplex will utilize cleaning products that kill the COVID-19 virus. Staff will clean equipment after use and in between each group use. In addition, an outside cleaning company will clean after hours.
  • Reservations are required to limit the amount of customers in the facility at each time.
  • Restrooms continue to be open.
  • Adventureplex staff will arrange for proper PPE disposal for any protective gear worn by employees.
  • For Camp Programs and Drop Off Programs, AdventurePlex will continue to follow all guidance as laid out by LA County in Appendix K for Camp Reopening.
  • We continue to follow the American Camp Association recommendation guidelines under our certification as a Accredited Camp as well as the guidelines set by the L.A. County Department of Public Health. We are also under the guidance of Beach Cities Health District Chief Medical Advisor Dr. William Kim.
